We provide independent assessment of agricultural projects for investors, sponsors and lenders, focusing on feasibility gaps, integration risk, economic realism, and assumptions that matter most to capital providers.
When performance diverges from plan, we help boards and owners understand why, identify fixable vs structural issues, and determine whether an enterprise should be stabilised, restructured or exited.
Agriculture is an exercise in Risk Mitigation. Agriculture has inherent risks — climatic, market, financial and operational. Our risk services go beyond biological or production risk to include commercial and investment risk, helping clients build resilient and fundable operations.
Investigative Services encompasses a diagnostic evaluation of current operations which leads to a strategy formulation designed to increase the operations financial viability and sustainability

Pre-Investment / Pre-Funding Purpose To determine whether a project is genuinely fundable as currently structured — and if not, why. We examine: Business model and vertical integration logic Production and feedstock assumptions Water, energy and logistics dependencies CAPEX and OPEX realism Market access and offtake logic Alignment between technical concepts and financial models Deliverables Bankability & Risk Brief (8–12 pages) Traffic-light risk map Prioritised de-risking actions Executive readout session Outcome Clear, defensible answers to investor questions — before capital, time and credibility are lost.
Most agricultural projects do not fail because of poor ideas. They fail because assumptions that looked reasonable on paper do not survive contact with operations, integration complexity, capital constraints or markets. Freestyle Agriculture specialises in bankability and recovery diagnostics — focused, independent reviews that identify what will prevent funding, what will cause underperformance, and what must change to protect or recover value. This work sits between technical design, operational reality and finance, where feasibility studies typically stop and where most projects quietly fail.
Post-Investment / Underperformance / Distress Purpose To identify root causes of underperformance and provide clear decision pathways: stabilise, restructure, resize or exit. We examine: Actual vs planned performance Cost leakage and cash burn Integration failures across farm, processing, logistics and markets Infrastructure mismatches Structural vs fixable problems Deliverables Recovery Diagnostic Brief (10–15 pages) Stop / Start / Change action list Stabilise / restructure / exit pathways Executive decision session Outcome Decisive clarity that prevents good money being thrown after bad.
